While everybody else went swimming and got burnt in the sun whilst the act of eating ice cram this summer, I knitted a lace shawl, following the pattern "Out of Darkness" by Boo Knits and using a bit more than one black skein of "Lana Grossa Lace Lux" and way to many pearls. In my imagination they are silver stars and green northern lights, although I'm not perfectly sure if Tolkien gave them a place in Middle-Earth. Nevertheless, the vision of Elves singing under the night sky, illuminated not only by stars and moon, yet also by haunting northern lights... clearly too
